Making the world a more enjoyable place one slab at a time!
We are fully licensed, bonded, insured and will produce references upon request.
Note: Every decorative concrete image on this website is the original artwork of Concrete Illusions Inc. with the exception of work that shared a page with us in the spring edition of Concrete Expressions magazine.
New! After many requests Concrete Illusions Inc. is proud to announce that we are offering Roll on Rock epoxy flake flooring!
Roll on rock epoxy flake flooring is an excellent flooring solution for garage floors, shop floors and any surface that requires a durable high traffic coating. Below is an explanation of the process and a few pictures of a job recently completed by Concrete Illusions Inc. for a company called Towpac in Aroma Park Illinois. Towpac adds a custom system to motorcycles that bolts right on adding 2 rear wheels giving the motorcycle more stability and cargo space without altering the motor cycle in any way.
First the carpet was removed and cracks in the floor were patched:
Then the floor was ground using a diamond grinding cup to remove all the adhesive and completely open the pores of the concrete:
At this point a coat of deep penetrating primer was applied followed by a top of the line body coat epoxy. Once the body coat was applied the entire floor is covered with polyvinyl flakes to add yet another layer of protection as well as a granite look to the surface.
Once the flake has been broadcast into the epoxy and dry rolled the floor is left to cure for a few hours then top coated with polyurea to achieve a protection layer that locks in the polyvinyl chips as well as provides an easy to clean, attractive and durable surface.
This is no cheap-o, do-it yourself, single layer epoxy flooring like you can buy at the big box stores.
This product is only available for professional use and consists of top notch multiple component
epoxies and sealers. It is a four layer protection system and the substrate is prepared by grinding off the
top layer of the concrete to expose the most pourus and clean bonding surface. This is a tuff floor!
Concrete Illusions specializes in staining and engraving of existing concrete. We do not place any new concrete. Concrete Illusions uses the concrete you already have such as a driveway, patio, basement or garage floor to produce a one of a kind unique surface that will add curb appeal and value to your home or business.
Below is an example of our process:
1. We start with plain concrete, cleaned and prepared.
2. Determine a design.
3. Stain the concrete the desired colors.
4. Then we engrave a pattern directly into the concrete.
5. The finished floor is then coated with a protective sealer.
